The hiring manager

Keep accountability clear by naming one hiring manager for every job. That person gets access to the job automatically and remains the person responsible for the role, even when a wider team is involved.

Naming a hiring manager

Every job must name one hiring manager before it can be published.

The hiring manager can be any active person in the account. They do not need to belong to a team attached to the job.

Hiring manager access

Naming someone as hiring manager gives them access to that job.

This access is separate from team access. A team determines which group of people can work on a job. The hiring manager identifies the individual accountable for it.

The hiring manager can see the information within the job, including the salary range.

A hiring manager can also create and publish a job when they are the named hiring manager for that job.

Reassigning a hiring manager

An open job must always have an active hiring manager.

If you need to deactivate someone who is the hiring manager of an open job, reassign the job first. ImpactHire blocks the deactivation until this is done.

The current ImpactHire documentation does not specify the interface steps for reassigning a hiring manager.
