Teams

Keep the right people involved in the right jobs without giving them access to every role in your company. Teams let you give a group access to the jobs they work on while keeping access to other jobs separate.

Creating a team

A team is a group of people that can be attached to one or more jobs.

Each person in a team has a team role, which determines what they can do inside the jobs their team can access.

The current ImpactHire documentation does not specify the interface steps for creating a team.

Team access

When a team is attached to a job, people in that team can access the job.

Teams are particularly important for Members because Members do not have account-wide access. A Member's job access comes from their teams and from jobs that name them as hiring manager.

Teams are optional on a job. A job can have no team because its named hiring manager receives access separately.

A team is different from a department. A team determines who can work on a job. A department identifies which part of the company owns the role.
