# Running interviews in Impact Hire
## Keep the interview, candidate context, evaluation, and recording together instead of splitting them across separate tools. Interviews run in ImpactHire, where the host can speak with the candidate, review their information, and complete a structured scorecard during the conversation.
**The call**
Interviews run in ImpactHire video.
During the interview, the host can see the candidate's video and profile. If the interview uses a template, the scorecard is also available during the call.
Every interview is recorded so the conversation remains part of the interview record.
**The scorecard**
An interview template turns the conversation into a scored evaluation.
During the interview, the host selects levels against the scorecard criteria and records reasons for those selections.
The host owns the scorecard. This creates one primary evaluation for the interview rather than averaging separate scorecards from everyone who attended.
**Panellists**
Panellists can be added when the interview is scheduled, before it starts, or during the interview.
If a panellist disagrees with a scorecard assessment, the criterion can be overridden afterwards. ImpactHire keeps both readings so the change remains visible in the evaluation record.
**Unscored conversations**
Not every interview needs a score.
An interview without a template is an unscored conversation. It can still have an agenda, and ImpactHire keeps the recording and comments, but it does not produce a 0–100 total.
Use a template when the interview should produce a structured scored evaluation. Without one, the conversation remains part of the candidate record without being turned into a score.
