# Company settings and departments

## Keep company information and job ownership organized in one account. Company settings manage shared company information, while departments identify which part of your company owns each role.

**Company settings**

Your company profile includes:

- Company name
- Logo
- Verified email domains
- People
- Departments
- Billing

Career page presentation is managed separately from the company profile. Its settings include your public address, logo, hero image, accent colour, company website, company description, and whether your career page shows a list of open roles.

Only an Owner or Admin can change these career page settings. Changes go live immediately.

**Departments**

A department identifies the part of your company that owns a role, such as Engineering, Sales, or People.

Every job names one department. ImpactHire keeps a department list for your account because each company can use its own structure and names.

You do not need to create every department in advance. A department can be added while creating a job.

Departments also help organise your career page. When the career page groups open roles, it groups them by department.

A department is not a team. A **department** identifies which part of the company owns a role. A **team** determines who can work on the job.
